Last Minute Colorado Elk/Bear Combo Hunt $2500

Last Minute Colorado Elk Hunt Special

I just got a call from one of our Colorado Elk Outfitters who just had 3 spots open up for the 3rd Colorado Rifle Season of November 3-11, 2012.  These are last minute cancellations, so he is willing to let them go for only $2,500 each plus licenses.  To sweeten the deal, you can harvest a black bear for no trophy cost.  (This is less than the costs of most Canada bear hunts alone plus you get hunt elk too.) You just have to buy the bear tag which is available over the counter.  Bulls should average in the range of 240 to 280 with the occasional 300+ taken.

Non-Resident Colorado Elk Tag is $576 and a Black bear tag is $351.  If you were born after 1/1/1949, you will need a copy of your state hunter safety card when you buy your license.  There are just 3 of these deals left on a first come first serve basis.  Call Rick Kennerknecht at 888-850-HUNT (4868), Extension 702 to reserve your spot.

We have two openings for Spring brown bear on Kodiak Island, Alaska – home of the “big boys”. The number of trophy bears over 28” shot in the previous 5 years is higher that it has ever been since 1961!

If you are interested in hunting Kodiak brown bear, here is your opportunity! This outfitter only hunts in the premium “draw” areas, so it will be necessary to apply for a spring tag as soon as possible. Non-resident odds run about 50% and your deposit will be refunded if you are not drawn OR we can hold your deposit until such time as you are drawn for either a subsequent spring or fall hunt.

This is a 10 day hunt and can be scheduled during April 15th, 2013 through May 10th, 2013. Clients will fly into Kodiak and will be picked up at the airport by the guide/outfitter. Depending on your time of arrival, you will either head to the field that day or spend the night at the lodge and then head out the next day. The hunt is “all-inclusive” upon your arrival in Kodiak with the exception of your hunting license and bear tag.

The lodge is located at the very end of the Kodiak road system. From there you would take an industrial sport fishing boat to the hunt areas, which is a two to three hour ride from the lodge. The guide has hunted these areas for some time and is very familiar with the best spots for glassing.

Use of a boat instead of a float plane eliminates lost time due to weather. Once you have been dropped off on the beach, a base camp will be established if/as necessary using a larger Alaskan “Bomb shelter” style tent. You would then hike to the glassing spot up on a mountain side and set up a spike camp.

The spike camp would consist of 3-man mountaineering tents and you would remain in the spike camp until game is spotted or you need to restock supplies at the base camp. These spike camps are right at the glassing spots so you do not have to hike back and forth every day, which maximizes your hunting time.

This guide has had an extremely high success rate, and the quality of these hunts is
second to none. The areas hunted are premium draw areas with a lot of bears. The average bear will be between 9 and 9.5 feet, but he has taken 10 foot bears as well. The size of bear taken will depend in part on luck, as well as the physical condition of the client and what you are specifically looking for.

Ten foot bears are not around every corner, but if you are willing to hold off the trigger, it is possible to shoot a ten foot bear. Anything is possible and Kodiak holds some of the biggest bears in the world – especially in these premium draw areas.

The cost of this hunt is $15,997 and the application must be filed with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) prior to December 31st. The actual application will be filed with the ADFG on your behalf by the outfitter upon booking the hunt.

This represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to hunt the legendary brown bears of Kodiak Island with an experienced and enthusiastic guide at a very fair price for Kodiak.

Blacktail Deer may also be added to this hunt.  Inquire for details.

A 50% deposit is required to book the hunt with the balance due 60 days prior to the hunt. In the event that you have any questions or require any additional information in this regard, please do not hesitate to contact me at the number shown above as soon as possible.

Thanks for considering Global Sporting Safaris for your sporting travel needs. We will look forward to providing you with a truly memorable hunting experience, whether on Kodiak Island for brown bear or anywhere else in the world where your hunting interests may lie.
